A proven track record of excellence.

Visit our   testimonial page    to see what our students are saying. Every year, aspiring music teachers start their own studio, and a year or two later it’s closed. We have a proven track record of offering quality guitar, voice, piano, strings,  drums, bells, woodwinds, brass, ukulele, composition, and theory lessons in Onalaska, WI, year round. Students who participate in WMTA and WSMA test well on their written exams and score well on their chosen pieces. Our full time mission is teaching music lessons, trusted by hundreds of families for nearly 10 years.

5.

A comfortable waiting room for parents.

We have a very spacious and parent friendly waiting area. Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, or a cramped hallway, our clients enjoy a spacious, professional parent's lounge with comfortable chairs, kids toys, free wifi and magazines.

6.

Nine private studios with full glass doors.

All nine of our private studios are equipped with  full glass doors  so that you can watch your child's lesson while you wait. Or if you prefer, you can sit in on the lessons at any time.

7.

Fully stocked lesson room

Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for lessons, including amps, full drum kits with pads, keyboards, pianos, and more. We have spent thousands of dollars on our studio for everything you need for music lessons!

8.

Free, all inclusive recitals

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it is to have their child participate in a recital. We have at least 4 recital opportunities every year, not including WSMA and WMTA. We hold these locally so you don't have to travel far for a top-notch recital experience. Our recital locations have a grand piano, so piano students are not playing on just a keyboard. Unlike other schools, parents never have to pay admission or any related fees for these recitals.

9.

Professional office staff to serve you

We strive to bring you the best customer service possible, 7 days a week. We are continually adding hours to ensure that our desk staff is able to assist you when you call or come to the studio! Most music lesson providers do not provide front desk staff, but we have desk staff who are available at the front desk:  Monday through Thursday 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.    There is always staff available by phone to assist you with questions, registration or lessons, quickly and professionally. Excellent customer service is what sets us apart!!

10.

Conveniently located near Crossing Meadows Shopping Center!

We are in a great location on Oak Forest Drive, north of Harley Davidson and near Misty's Dance Studio.

11.

Parking

The Academy has a very safe, well-lit and spacious parking lot for our students and parents.

12.

Trophies, certificates and award wristbands to celebrate achievement.

We are the only music school in Wisconsin that gives their students the opportunity to earn special colored wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies and certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces (see pictures to the right) by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends.

13.

Month-to-Month Lessons

The Academy does not require semester minimums for lessons.
Lessons are billed on a calendar month basis and all students are enrolled month-to-month.

14.

Make Up Classes

Missed a lesson? Out of town? No problem. Just sign up for our make up classes. They never expire, and you can come when it's convenient for you.

15.

Summer Lessons

Lessons are offered year-round for students to insure continuity and progress.

16.

17.

Testimonials

"All of the staff at Onalaska Music Academy have been wonderful to work with.
My instructor, Irene, has both challenged me and helped me improve.

It has been a great experience!"

-Jim K.

"This is the best place for music lessons in the Onalaska/La Crosse area. We've tried three other music schools as well as two separate teachers who would come to our home, and Onalaska Music Academy is by far the best. Not the cheapest, but the results speak for themselves. I have three girls all learning different instruments - trumpet, flute and piano - and there's no other music school that can accommodate all three, let alone all on the same day with overlapping times.

The instructors are super-accommodating and for the first time, my girls actually look forward to going to their classes and they don't give me grief when I ask them to practice. And I love being able to look into the classroom through the glass door and watch them from time to time. And their  Saturday makeup lesson program is awesome."
